We all love our heroes, that is why we read what we do. But, November 11th is a day of respect for our heroic Veterans.
Please take a moment to remember some of the real life heroes who fought for freedom from the bottom of mud lined trenches. Men and women who faced horrors that, until that moment, they had never been exposed to before.
If not for these early warriors, we might not have the freedoms we have today. We're lucky that we will never know the oppression that could have changed our world. All because of the sacrifices made by men and women willing to stand and fight.
Take a moment and reflect. A minute of silence to remember all those who never made it home and those who still stand and fall to this day.
Lest we forget.
Today I honour my grandparents John and Ann Cottrell who both served in the Canadian Army in WWII and my grandfather George Roberts who served in the Royal Air Force in WWII.
Do you have anyone you would like us to remember?
